If you haven’t noticed, I’m on a serious Halloween kick right now. We painted pumpkins the other day (well, Raffa started one and promises to finish it tonight). I fashioned mine after Dia de Los Muertos decor, with lots of neon paint and a sugar skull motif. Afterwards I sprayed it down with gold glitter, because too much is never enough when it comes to the holidays! ;}
It should also be mentioned that one cannot enjoy Halloween without a bright orange hand-beaded change purse (which I snagged at that outdoor market in Beacon I blogged about) and pumpkin-shaped Peeps!
Before I get some work done for tomorrow, I wanted to impart some animated stills from Madeline’s Halloween Special, where she goes to NYC. The way the city is sketched makes me want to leave the real one behind and dive right into this cartoon.
They start out in Paris, naturally.
And then it’s off to NYC!
Magnifique!
Hope everyone’s costumes are coming along smashingly. Mine needs a lot of work.
